Global Living was a project done at Detmold, Germany at HS-OWL, University of Applied Sciences. It consists of studying a culture and then developing a product that would fit our day to day lives.

My inspiration were Central Asian Yurts or Nomadic houses. I picked up the words transformation and collapsible and started to work on small baskets. Using their weaving technique I figured how baskets bend, hence converting a flat circular surface to a basket.
I then used the same at a larger scale to make a Seating Basket. It is a mat when open, and when ties it forms a comfortable and cozy basket to sit in.
