Fibre-Reinforced Concrete

A project for building simple furniture with concrete done in Detmold, Germany
at HS-Owl, University of Applied Sciences.

The project included designing a simple furniture form which later was to be made in fibre-reinforced concrete.
As a group of four students, 2 exchange students from Brazil and 2 from India we worked together on the project.
Our objective was to create a multi purpose seating in an open space. A combination of stools used either by themselves or paired together to create a seating for one or more people.

The result was a set of stools catering to various seating postures, at the height of a stool or ground level, both individually support the back and legs in various comfortable postures. When paired with each other, they could act as a reclining seating or be used to accommodate multiple users.
